Baby Oil

Post by aardvaark »

It's just liquid paraffin, and like an idiot I paid £1.75 for a bottle of it at Tesco when it would probably be much cheaper at a chemists or the medications section, but never mind, it's great stufff for holding moisture in not just babies' skin, but wrinklies, too! Apply it to WET skin just after a bath or shower and your skin will just drink it in. As Frank Bruno once said, "Splash it on all over!"

They get grape seed oil by squashing grape seeds. How do they get Baby Oil?
Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol.

I remember being told a story many years ago and have no idea whether it was true or not.

Apparently the makers of Brylcreem could not understand why they were getting an inordinate number of orders from some African countries and decide to investigate.

They discovered that the Witch Doctors were using it as medicine, it makes a very good laxative!

Actually, it won't. Baby oil is a mineral oil, which is not absorbed into the skin.

You can't so anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width & depth.

The skin drinks in the moisture, which is held in by the oil on the surface, Vi. That's why it has to be applied to wet skin. At least, that's how I understand it. Works for me, feels really nice.

I've read that article and it's thought-provoking.

Do you use something on your skin after a shower?

Aardy. I have been using baby oil on my wet skin after a shower for years and I agree with you. It makes the skin nice and soft.
