State sponsored murder is OK if the USA does it but called terrorism if any other country does it.

That's about the size of it Purwell! Things were better under Saddam Hussein.
Oil has a big input along with selling weapons.

I wonder what the reaction in Washington would have been if we had taken out Gerry Adams at the height of the troubles?

Assassination is not unusual to them, but it is to us.

Wellington refused to have Napoleon killed or Churchill Hitler.

We normally like to see at least the semblance of a show trial.

We could be on the eve of another Cuba.

You need to remember the "Ill Will" between America and Iran,
I think that you are old enough to remember 1973 when Iran
kidnapped all the staff from the American Embassy!

The problem with Iran as I see it is, all the wise men
were killed during the Iran Iraq war and at one time
all or most of the male population was under 40 years
old, now those ssame men are now the seniors who have
had no wise guidance from any elders, only "Hot Head"
religious leaders.

No matter what has happened, America has got their
retaliation in first, if not the Embassy in Baghdad would
be destroyed.

So we all know that you don't like Donald Trump, but he
was/is in a bad position, does he let his people get murdred
by an Iranian who was organising attacks in another country,
Iraq, or does he stop the action in the only way that he knows,
not being a military man.

I personally think that he had no choice.

The British Isles are also in a bad place because the Iranians have
lumped as together with the Americans, so pray that they consentrate
on them and don't include us here.

Mike.

Short termism, knee jerk reaction.

Iran can wait, 1000 years if necessary.

USA propaganda machine gets into overdrive!
Quote:
The crash came just hours after Iran carried out missile strikes on two airbases housing US forces in Iraq.

CBS News quoting US intelligence said a satellite detected infrared "blips" of two missile launches, followed by another blip of an explosion.

Meanwhile, Newsweek quoted a Pentagon and a senior US intelligence officials, as well as an Iraqi intelligence official as saying they believed the Ukrainian plane was hit by a Russian-made Tor missile.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday said "I have my suspicions" over the plane. "Somebody could have made a mistake," he said.

Fromm BBC news site.

he thinks he was gazumped for the Nobel Peace Prize!
Quote:
"I'm going to tell you about the Nobel Peace Prize, I'll tell you about that. I made a deal, I saved a country, and I just heard that the head of that country is now getting the Nobel Peace Prize for saving the country. I said: 'What, did I have something do with it?' Yeah, but you know, that's the way it is. As long as we know, that's all that matters... I saved a big war, I've saved a couple of them."

Now his “peace plan” amounts to bullying the Palestinians into submission.

Now he has surrounded himself with a cabinet who could all be named R. Slicker, his ego will balloon and balloon, then hopefully go pop!

But how much damage will he do meantime?

Another able politician has been replaced by a Boris sycophant in Scotland.

With Ruth Davidson and Kezia Dugdale both replaced do English leaders hate women, gays or just good politicians?
